iDrive Auto Parts Return & Warranty Policy

iDrive-Auto-Auto-Parts-6-month-warranty

iDrive Auto Parts, Inc.

Full Warranty, Returns, Shipping & Invoice Terms

These Full Terms apply to all purchases from iDrive Auto Parts, Inc. (“iDrive,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By purchasing any part, the customer (“Purchaser,” “you,” “your”) agrees to these terms. If there is any conflict between marketing materials and these Full Terms, these Full Terms control.

Standard Warranty Coverage (Part-Only)

All eligible parts sold by iDrive Auto Parts, Inc. excluding sheet metal/body panels and all electrical parts, include a 6-month part-only limited warranty, unless otherwise specified in writing at the time of sale. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase / invoice date.

This warranty covers defective or malfunctioning internal mechanical components only. Labor, diagnostics, teardown, inspection, installation, reinstallation, programming, and related costs are not covered unless an optional labor warranty is purchased separately.

Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser, is non-transferable, and requires proof of purchase.

Warranty Claims & Remedies

If a part covered by this warranty fails to operate within the warranty period, iDrive Auto Parts will, at its sole discretion, either provide a functionally equivalent replacement part or issue a refund for the original purchase price of the part.

Refunds and replacements do not include labor, diagnostics, teardown, towing, rentals, downtime, travel, lost income, or other incidental or consequential costs.

Parts Requiring Additional Documentation

The following components require documentation to initiate or process a warranty claim: engines, transmissions, transfer cases, axles/differentials, computers, and electrical components.

Required documentation includes a certified diagnosis and proof of required installation, maintenance, and/or programming from a certified repair facility or dealership. Failure to provide required documentation may result in denial of the claim.

Installation Requirements

All parts must be installed within 14 days of the invoice date by a qualified professional and in accordance with OEM and iDrive Auto Parts installation procedures.

Verification of installer qualifications is the sole responsibility of the customer. Failure to follow required procedures, use proper fluids, complete required service items, or address known vehicle issues may void the warranty.

Inspection & Authorization Requirement

iDrive Auto Parts reserves the right to inspect any part prior to approving a warranty claim.

Any repair, modification, disassembly, removal, or diagnostic teardown of the part before inspection and written authorization will void the warranty.
Diagnostic time, teardown, inspection, and reassembly costs are not covered under any warranty unless expressly approved in writing prior to such work.

Exclusion for Repairs or Modifications

Any repairs, adjustments, alterations, modifications, or services performed by a repair facility, mechanic, or individual are not covered under this warranty. This includes labor performed, parts replaced, repaired, modified, or adjusted, and any drivetrain or related components affected directly or indirectly by such work.

Responsibility for Work Performed

If any repair facility or individual performs work on a covered part or any related components, all warranties and liabilities for that work and the parts involved are solely the responsibility of the party performing the service.

iDrive Auto Parts assumes no responsibility or liability for workmanship quality, improper installation, unauthorized repairs, or non-approved parts.

Warranty Voidance

Any unauthorized repair or modification that, in the determination of iDrive Auto Parts and its warranty administrator, contributes to or causes damage or failure may result in partial or complete voiding of the warranty.

The warranty is also void if the part is installed in a non-OEM application; failure results from towing beyond manufacturer ratings; damage is caused by non-covered components, poor installation, abuse, racing, neglect, or lack of maintenance; damage is related to collisions, theft, vandalism, or Acts of God; or mechanical parts (including engines and transmissions) are not installed by an ASE-certified technician where required.

Warranty Exclusions (General)

This warranty does not cover parts installed on off-road vehicles or vehicles modified beyond factory specifications; parts used in commercial, fleet, or marine applications; failures resulting from improper installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, environmental conditions, or vehicle-related issues; incidental or consequential damages including related parts, income loss, travel, rentals, towing, or diagnostic fees; sheet metal, body panels, and all electrical parts, which are sold AS-IS; or deposits, special-order parts, and custom-cut items (non-refundable).

Related/Supporting Parts Exclusion: Related or supporting components including sensors, mounts, hoses, wiring, gaskets, converters, turbos, and ancillary parts are not covered unless expressly listed on the invoice.

Accessories & Attachments

Parts may include attached accessories such as sensors, manifolds, or injectors. These items may require transfer or replacement and are not covered under this warranty unless expressly stated on the invoice.

Engines

Warranty covers internal lubricated components only, including the block, heads, valves, lifters, pistons, crankshaft, and camshaft. External or non-lubricated components such as sensors, injectors, throttle bodies, gaskets, manifolds, coil packs, and accessories are excluded.

Required installation procedures include replacement of timing components, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, oil pan gasket, fluids, oil filter, intake manifold gaskets, and verification of proper cooling system operation. Proof of service is required. Overheating, improper installation, diagnostic teardown, or unauthorized repairs void the warranty.

Transmissions

Warranty covers slippage, shifting failures, and bearing noise. Manual transmission gear damage due to tooth shearing or breakage is excluded.

Required installation procedures include replacement of seals, pan gasket, and filter; flushing or replacement of transmission cooler and lines; adjustment of linkages; clearing fault codes; and use of OEM-specified fluids. ASE-certified technician installation is required for automatic transmissions with overdrive. Improper installation, diagnostic teardown, or unauthorized repairs void the warranty. Proof of service is required.

Labor Warranty (Optional – Sold Separately)

When purchased separately, the labor warranty covers a one-time labor reimbursement for removal and replacement of the covered part up to the selected coverage amount at the time of sale. Maximum labor payout is $2,500.

Diagnostic, teardown, inspection, and reassembly costs are not covered unless expressly approved in writing.

Return Process (RMA Required)

To return an item, the Purchaser must contact iDrive Auto Parts within the applicable warranty or return period to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns without a valid RMA will not be accepted. Parts must be returned in the same condition as sold and are subject to inspection.

Restocking Fee, Refunds & Timing

Approved returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee. Approved refunds will be issued by check (except credit card purchases) within 10 business days after approval.

Shipping & Freight

Shipping and freight charges (including LTL, UPS, FedEx, and USPS) are generally non-refundable. Original and return shipping costs will not be refunded for parts ordered incorrectly or no longer needed unless otherwise approved in writing.
